We've taught Jesse and James to wave bye-bye. To do this, first teach them to shake, then once they master shake, you start saying bye-bye as they raise their paw. It's too dang funny.
OMG, did I mention how cute Miles is? Just absolutely adorable, and obviously quite intelligent.
Scott - I couldn't teach him how to shake. That's the one thing he wouldn't do!! :-( I will keep trying. He has nearly learned to "drop it" but totally unreliable! LOL He tried to eat everything in sight! UGH!
We have two dogs. James learned shake in no time. Jesse, well, it took me close to six weeks to get that dog to shake. He just couldn't be bothered. There are still times where he can't be bothered. Perseverence is the key to training. Let me tell you, once they learn to wave bye-bye, you'll impress everybody.
